Each of us believe in numerous things. Maybe you have faith in God, possibly you assume that the earth is eternal, maybe you believe that the sun will shine tomorrow morning.
You most certainly have viewpoints about yourself: You could think that you are a performer or a good golfer or a lovable person. But you most certainly even have negative beliefs about yourself: You could think that you are quiet fat or that you do not have sufficient education to earn much money or that you are not beautiful enough to find a lover. These are your Limiting Beliefs!
And we all have them! Without exception! You only have to "listen" to your self talk going on in your head! Is it always encouraging? I bet it is not. There will frequently be statements similar to "This won't work", "I am too stupid" or "If only I were smarter".
How do Limiting Beliefs guide to Self Sabotage?
Think about it! If you really believe that you are not beautiful enough to get a lover, you will most likely end searching for one. If you in fact think that you are not educated enough to find a good job, you will most likely end applying for the job you would like. This is the prime step of Self Sabotage.
It may also go further: Let's suppose you believe that you are not educated enough to get the job of your dreams. And for some reason (might be your father, some friend or "fate" opened the opportunity for you) you DO get this job. If your Limiting Belief (not being educated enough) is strong enough, you will subconsciously be driven into actions that guide to your losing this job after some time. Probably you will make stupid mistakes (mistakes that are untypical of you), perhaps you will unconsciously provoke situations that direct to your being late at work nearly each morning, who knows!
Limiting Beliefs direct to Self Sabotage! That is a reality! This is not a nature defect, it is just the way it is! And you can only do one thing regarding it:
